Brenton-on-sea has many attractions, but one of the most relaxing ones is listening to the waves crashing on Castle Rock or strolling along our beach.

Sun & Sea - The Beach: The Brenton-on-Sea beach, with its unspoilt white sand, extends for six km. to Buffalo bay, perfect for a walk or jog for those who want more activity. Enjoy swimming in the Indian Ocean with the African Black Oystercatcher.

Outdoor Beauty - Hiking: The area is green and lush all year round with native flowers, trees, flora and Fynbos You can walk along the cliffs at Fisherman’s’ Walk and may see the whales and dolphins below you. You can also enjoy the sunset with friends and a glass of wine. Climb up Castle Rock and feel the spray on your skin. You can admire the wildlife in the area, such as the guinea fowl, the bushbuck, the nightjar and the peacocks. You can also watch out for the tortoise and the mongoose.

Ocean – Whale Watching: Join on a boat trip an exhilarating game of hide and seek as we traverse the Garden Route coastline in search of the migratory giants, humpback and southern right whales.

Peaceful Water - Lagoon: You can fish or paddle on the lagoon or bring your own boat and launch from the jetty.

Neighbouring Towns - Sedgefield: Travel to the nearby town of Sedgefield. Every Saturday you can enjoy the vibes and fresh produce and hand crafts at the Sedgefield market.
